National Council of Nonprofits

This grant supports the National Council of Nonprofits, the nation's largest network of nonprofits, now with more than 25,000 individual nonprofit organizational members across the country. The grantee is a trusted resource and advocate for America's charitable nonprofits. Its mission is to advance the vital role, capacity, and voice of charitable nonprofit organizations. The grantee works through its network of state associations, individual members, and state policy allies (national organizations with policy operations in multiple states) to amplify the collective voice of America's charitable nonprofit organizations. It has helped nonprofits operate more effectively, collaborate and exchange solutions, engage in critical policy issues affecting the sector, and achieve greater impact in their communities. A grant increase will help the council fill an unanticipated financial gap created by its engagement in international activities, primarily via its participation in CIVICUS' Affinity Group of National Associations.
