Founded in 1987, the Consultative Group on Biological Diversity has effectively created a flexible, member-driven structure that promotes high quality, collaborative grantmaking. Mott's prior support helped the organization build partnerships among funders, identify funding gaps and grantmaking priorities, provide regular newsletters and updates, offer individualized consultations with members, and identify and facilitate responses to emerging issues. This general purpose grant renewal will allow the organization to continue such efforts to increase the quality and impact of private grantmaking related to biodiversity conservation.
