Focus: HOPE

This grant will provide general purpose support to Focus: HOPE to continue to deliver an array of comprehensive workforce training, education, social supports, childcare, and food distribution services to low-income residents in Detroit. For over four decades, the grantee has set out to impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals across southeast Michigan through education and training, meeting basic needs, neighborhood development, and other efforts. Continued general purpose support is critical to help the organization sustain its programming in both a challenging fiscal climate and shifting labor market. This renewal grant will help the grantee implement a comprehensive plan to address the issues confronting the neighborhoods in the immediate area surrounding its campus, as well as leverage investments by other foundations, businesses, and public-sector supporters to sustain the organization.
