The United Way of Genesee County, celebrating its 90-year anniversary, supports a network of local nonprofit human service and health organizations. This general purpose renewal grant will enable it to continue funding community programs that serve the needs of over 35,000 area residents. The grantee focuses its funding priorities on basic needs/strengthening families, child/youth development, and older adults. It also administers several projects including the BEST capacity building project, participates in numerous collaboratives, and serves as fiscal sponsor for several area programs.
