Genesee Early College is a five-year early college located on the campus of the University of Michigan-Flint and is the only early college in Michigan housed at a four-year institution. The purpose of the early college model is to expose students to college education with the opportunity to earn up to 60 credits at the host college. After four years of operation, Genesee Early College, administered by the Genesee Intermediate School District, has graduated three classes with an average graduation rate of 99 percent. This renewal grant will help fund the operating costs of the early college.
