This renewal grant will continue to support Asia Society in its efforts to raise awareness, build capacity, and stimulate new opportunities to integrate global learning into afterschool initiatives. This project will enable collaboration between schools, afterschool programs, and community organizations to advance global learning in various education settings as a way to produce globally competent and college-ready graduates. Specifically, the grantee will work closely with leading statewide afterschool networks to: 1) increase the quality and quantity of global learning in afterschool programs; and 2) increase systemic supports for global learning in afterschool through the development of supportive policies at the local, state, and federal levels, and increase public awareness.
