The City of Flint continues to face a significant public safety challenge. Crime and violence across the city remain high, while the city's ongoing budget crisis has caused a simultaneous reduction in the police force and public safety resources. The City of Flint's emergency manager has outlined a public safety plan that aims to address public safety issues in Flint. Grant funding will support the continued implementation of that plan.
