This grant will enable San Francisco State University to continue to develop an integrated high school and postsecondary career academy model on green energy and technology pathways. During the most recent phase of this effort, the grantee engaged regional stakeholders to develop the curriculum and tools necessary to implement a career and technical education-focused framework in nine schools in the Bay area where students are provided contextualized instruction, training, and credentialing in green technologies such as biofuels, solar, transportation, and green building. Mott funding will allow San Francisco State University to further develop this model by adding an online platform to assist students in linking classroom instruction with technical knowledge and field experience in the green sector.
