The project goal of the International Academy for Innovative Pedagogy, Psychology and Economy gGmbH is to bring about sustainable change in local communities across Europe through innovative approaches to youth empowerment and community development. To this end, the grantee will develop a resource center that will support local communities to implement youth empowerment approaches; facilitate networking and learning opportunities for young people, practitioners, and policymakers; document and assess good practices in the field; and disseminate data and analysis related to youth empowerment. Building on ten years of implementing the Youth Empowerment Partnership Programme -- a collaborative initiative of several European and domestic foundations, the grantee and the Network of European Foundations -- the grantee will continue to work with the existing 15 local sites involved in the project and seek to expand this number. The resource center will be a project of the grantee, which will be based in Berlin, Germany. A staff of three to four people will run the resource center, and strategic guidance will be provided by a steering committee made up of stakeholders in the project, including young people.
