This grant will continue to support Pew Charitable Trusts to assist community college administrators and state workforce development officials in developing a roadmap for training new and emerging types of dental providers at community colleges and/or other nontraditional settings. In the most recent phase of this project, the grantee formed an advisory group of community college and workforce development stakeholders and produced a report on the need for new dental providers and the role community colleges can play in developing and training them. Recommended support will enable the grantee to develop and advance a communications plan/strategy and provide technical assistance to states that are uniquely positioned to establish new dental provider models.
