This grant to the Flint Cultural Center Corporation will provide support for two major projects -- Discover Dinosaurs and Other Prehistoric Creatures and Mamma Mia! The 14-week dinosaur exhibit at Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium will feature large, robotic dinosaurs. In addition, there will be a variety of hands-on activities and interactive displays, including a virtual dinosaur simulator, as well as family activities, science workshops, and educational programming. The Whiting will host two performances of Mamma Mia!, the world's number one show, with more productions playing internationally than any other musical. The show is based on the songs of ABBA, a Swedish musical group from the 1970s and 1980s.
