This proposal will support the Alliance for Excellent Education to increase educational opportunities for young people through digital learning in afterschool programs. At the forefront of educational approaches, digital learning will play an increasingly important role in how students learn, and will enable afterschool programs to deliver new learning opportunities in the future. Through working with the statewide afterschool networks, the grantee seeks to increase the number of afterschool programs which utilize digital learning. Specifically, this project will include: 1) research to identify successful examples of digital learning and collaboration between in-school and afterschool programs; 2) development and dissemination of digital learning resources for the afterschool field; and 3) work with the statewide afterschool networks to develop policy and practice for digital learning in the afterschool setting.
