Founded in 1970, the Ecology Center is a national environmental organization that has maintained a special focus on its home region in southeast Michigan. With this grant, the grantee will contribute to the refinement and implementation of a countywide public transportation system in Washtenaw County. Building on significant public input to date, the grantee will help ensure the transit plan moves forward in a way that serves the needs of all residents. The grantee will also leverage lessons learned from this process to advance a comprehensive regional transportation solution in southeast Michigan, as well as informing transportation policies at the state level.
