Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties provides intervention services for individuals and families in crisis. More than 80 percent of those served are nonCatholic, and the organization serves over 150,000 meals, provides over 100,000 items to families with low or no annual income, and provides temporary shelter to homeless individuals and families in Genesee County. This grant will allow the grantee to operate a warming center near downtown Flint to protect homeless residents from the winter elements, both day and night.
