The Building Excellence, Sustainability and Trust (BEST) Nonprofit Capacity Building project of the United Way of Genesee County began in 2003 with support from the C. S. Mott Foundation, Ruth Mott Foundation, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, and the United Way of Genesee County. Over the past ten years, the program has provided Genesee County nonprofits with technical assistance and professional development via workshops and grants. This renewal grant will support the continuation of nonprofit organizational development programming including an emphasis on leadership development programs, such as the nonprofit leadership institute and the nonprofit boot camps.
