This grant will enable the American Youth Policy Forum to continue to inform and educate policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders on critical issues relevant to the disconnected youth population. During the most recent phase of this project, the grantee published a number of policy issue briefs and held a series of Capitol Hill forums and webinars focused on addressing the needs of disconnected youth within the current education reform framework. In the final phase of this project, the grantee will focus on strategically building capacity across a diverse set of stakeholders, primarily at the state and local level, to ensure that a coordinated system of education and workforce pathways are available to disconnected youth.
