This renewal grant provides general purpose support to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint. Focusing on five areas of youth development (leadership, arts, fitness, life skills, and education), the grantee offers year-round programming to children ages 7-17 at two facilities in the city of Flint: the Averill Avenue site and the Haskell Community Center. Additionally, the grantee houses the staff director for the National Service Accelerator Initiative, which provides matching funds for Flint area nonprofit agencies utilizing volunteers through any of the Corporation for National and Community Service programs.
