The Foundation’s 2009 Annual Report uses Mott’s grantmaking in South Africa to showcase the universal challenge of building civil society. Through the voices of a group of grantee organizations in South Africa, who contributed essays about their work and their hopes for their country, this annual report provides a view of the civil society sector from the perspective of those working “on the ground” to encourage positive change.
Voices from South Africa is a collection of five digital recordings based on the guest essays that appear in the 2009 Annual Report. The essayists — including Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu — share their reflections on the role civil society is playing to encourage positive change in South Africa. The brief recordings are available as a collection and individually. Learn more.
