Empty bowls call attention to rising hunger
This video highlights "Empty Bowls," held September 29, 2011, at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, located in Mott's hometown of Flint. The annual program, coordinated with the support of the Flint Institute of Arts (FIA), features ceramic bowls made by local artists. The bowls, along with soups prepared by area restaurants, are sold as a fundraising event for the Food Bank. Both the Food Bank and the FIA are longtime Mott grantees.
