Mott Foundation Continues Support of Great Lakes Revolving Loan Fund with $2-million Grant

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation has made its second grant to the Great Lakes Revolving Loan Fund (GLRLF), an environmental protection fund administered by the The Conservation Fund. The $2-million grant will enable the GLRLF to make a $1-million loan to The Nature Conservancy to aid in the protection of more than 6,000 acres of forest and wetlands on Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. The Great Lakes Revolving Loan Fund was established in late 2001 with an initial $4-million grant from the Foundation. The purpose of the Fund is to provide capital to land trusts and government agencies to allow them to respond quickly to land purchase opportunities in ecologically significant areas.
