Online “chat” explores time, learning and student success
An-Me Chung, a program officer in the Mott Foundation’s
Pathways Out of Poverty program, participated on September 24 in an online “chat” -- sponsored by
Education Week magazine -- that focused on student time and learning.

During the digital conversation, a transcript of which is available
here, Chung helped audience members explore the challenges and opportunities related to creating high-quality, high-impact learning opportunities for students that connect to -- and extend beyond -- the traditional school day.
Also participating in the chat was Gretchen Bueter, principal of Grove Patterson Academy in Toledo, Ohio. The conversation was moderated by Catherine Gewertz, an assistant editor at
Education Week.
