Mott Foundation promotes two program staff

FLINT, Mich. – Yazeed A. Moore and Ridgway H. White have been promoted to program officers at the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.

Yazeed Moore
Moore joined the Foundation in June 2002 as a program assistant for the Pathways Out of Poverty team and was promoted to associate program officer in January 2005. He will continue to work in the field of vulnerable youth, seeking to increase educational opportunities for at-risk students and disconnected youth.

Before coming to Mott, Moore was the director of research and foundation relations at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Earlham and a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University.

White joined the Foundation as a program assistant on the Flint Area team in March 2004 and was promoted to associate program officer in January 2006. He will continue in his primary role as loaned staff for the nonprofit Uptown Reinvestment Corporation, concentrating on redevelopment projects in downtown Flint as well as other revitalization efforts.

Ridgway White
Prior to his appointment as program assistant, White served as an intern in the Foundation’s Pathways Out of Poverty program. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Hobart College in Geneva, New York, with a major in architectural design and a minor in urban studies.
