Funding for the fourth and final year will support Great Lakes United to maintain coordinated citizen action to protect and restore the Great Lakes through 1994, and to develop a strategic plan to increase its effectiveness in the future. Mott has provided support to Great Lakes United for the past three years. During that time the organization has worked on strengthening the coalition, advancing the concept and practice of pollution prevention, promoting community right-to-know in Canada, and conducting many other activities to support a healthy Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin ecosystem.
