The Time, Learning and Afterschool Task Force is a group of policymakers, practitioners, researchers and educators that was established to create a set of recommendations to facilitate a deeper integration between formal education and afterschool programs and generate discussion about the need to change the structure of the formal school day to integrate in-school and afterschool programs.
Funding will enable Collaborative Communications Group (CCG) to support the work of the task force by organizing task force meetings and conference calls; coordinating a national advisory group to recommend task force objectives; researching, writing, editing, designing and printing the task force report; creating a series of written and multi-media tools to accompany the report; develop a dissemination strategy; and create a Web site to electronically disseminate the report and tools.
CCG is a team of professionals who use innovative communications strategies, products and technologies to bring people together for the improvement of organizations, schools and communities.
