To this end, the center will bring together community colleges with workforce boards, economic development entities, labor-market intermediaries and other community organizations. The association, founded in 1920, speaks for and represents the interests of the nation's accredited two-year colleges and their 11.6 million students. Its mission is to "build a nation of learners by advancing America's community colleges."
