To share experiences from South Africa's process of truth, justice and reconciliation with people from the Western Balkans.

The Colonnades Theatre Lab in South Africa developed Truth in Translation - a stage production with music - to tell the story of South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission through the eyes of interpreters who translated the testimony of all those who appeared before the commission. This grant will support production of the play and related events in Serbia, Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina over a four-week period in early 2007. The Western Balkans tour will be carried out in cooperation with non-governmental organizations in the region working on issues dealing with the past and transitional justice. The Colonnades Theatre Lab was established in 2005 to promote arts and culture, with an emphasis on performance drama .
