AMVETS National Service Foundation has served the needs of American veterans as a volunteer-led, nonpartisan organization since 1947. A recent symposium on the needs of young veterans highlighted a series of critical issues facing approximately six million young veterans, including the needs of the veterans returning from operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. This grant will provide partial support for AMVETS National Service Foundation to implement an action plan to address the employment and workforce development needs of young veterans.
