This grant aims to expand the capacity of Mott Community College to help adults with low literacy and mathematic skills advance into and succeed in college-level professional and technical programs that prepare them for family-supporting jobs. The college will pilot a more efficient pathway from remedial classes to certificate or degree completion in four career areas offered at the school: 1) business management; 2) healthcare; 3) manufacturing; and 4) human services. If the pilot phase proves successful, then Mott Community College will implement these efficiencies in all of their certificate and degree programs.
