More than four million Americans work in call centers answering the phones for companies that pay them to take reservations, resolve billing issues, provide product information, take orders, and provide technical support. It is estimated that 112,000 of these agents work from home-based workstations. This renewal grant will provide partial support to the National Telecommuting Institute, Inc., as it continues to develop strategies to create call center jobs for homebound individuals with disabilities.
