Greater Flint Arts Council

The Greater Flint Arts Council provides leadership for a coalition of stakeholders that are helping to improve the image of Flint through increased participation in summertime festivals and events. The Parade of Festivals is based on the premise that increasing the number and diversity of people having an enjoyable time in downtown Flint will help break down barriers to economic growth and will generate increased public interest in the redevelopment of downtown Flint. This renewal grant will allow the grantee to continue to implement a multimedia marketing and promotional campaign that seeks to maximize the impact of established events and to provide direct financial support to newer and smaller events.
