The program goal is to promote philanthropy in the Czech Republic and encourage donor agencies to work together toward utilizing available resources in the most effective way. To this end, the Czech Donors Forum will provide services to various groups of donors to increase the level of corporate and individual giving in the Czech Republic, improve the transparency and efficiency of local grantmakers, and strengthen its own organizational capacity and sustainability. In 2007-2009, the forum strengthened its services to corporations, improved tools and strategies for donations from the general public, and organized high profile conferences and award ceremonies in the field of philanthropy. Since its establishment in 1997, the forum has provided strong leadership to Czech donors as well as to the whole nonprofit sector in the Czech Republic. In addition, the forum is providing vital support to other donors' fora in the region by coordinating Central and Eastern European Network for Responsible Giving since 2005.
