The program goal is to support the development of civil society and the nonprofit sector in southern Croatia by developing the human and organizational capacities of nonprofit organizations and promoting volunteerism. Building on this experience, the Association "Mi" will offer a range of services to the nonprofit sector in four counties, promote volunteerism, strengthen cross-sector cooperation at community levels, and encourage civic engagement and local resource mobilization to meet community needs. During the last two years, the grantee provided basic training and technical assistance to hundreds of nonprofits on organizational development, project implementation, volunteerism, and quality assurance monitoring; managed a regional forum for nonprofits; and helped establish an elderly care center and a local foundation. Based in Split, the Association "Mi" has supported the nonprofit sector through various activities since its founding in 1996.
