This renewal grant will provide partial funding to the Greater Flint Health Coalition to continue implementation of the Flint Healthcare Employment Opportunities Project. The purpose of the initiative is to create sustainable employment and promote career advancement for low-income Genesee County residents by working with health industry employers to restructure their hiring, retention, and promotional practices for healthcare employees. With this grant, the project will continue to enroll new clients, provide career paths for existing clients, and participate in regional economic development initiatives.
