The program goal is to consolidate and strengthen the philanthropic community in Bulgaria. During the grant period, the Bulgarian Donors' Forum will increase its membership, develop its services for member and nonmember organizations, cooperate with similar organizations in Central and Eastern Europe on efforts to develop philanthropy, and strengthen its organizational capacity and financial sustainability. The forum was established in 2004 with the mission to promote the development of civil society and philanthropy in Bulgaria. During 2007-2010, the forum's achievements included increasing its membership, providing high quality services to its members and other clients, pioneering new giving mechanisms, and participating actively in international initiatives of donor associations in Europe and globally.
