Polish Donors Forum

The program goal is to consolidate and strengthen the philanthropic community in Poland. During the grant period, the Polish Donors Forum will increase its membership, develop its member services, advocate for an enabling environment for civic participation and philanthropic activity, and cooperate with similar organizations in Central and Eastern Europe on efforts to develop philanthropy. The forum was set up in 2002 and formally registered in September 2004. The forum's mission is to support the development of civil society and organized philanthropy in Poland and promote best practices in grantmaking. Currently, the forum has 12 members and 7 observers, the majority of which are indigenous grantmakers. The forum's main achievements to date include organizing high profile events to promote philanthropy, delivering workshops on effective grantmaking, and representing the donor community vis-à-vis the government, the business sector, and civil society in Poland.
