The project goal is to strengthen the capacity of nongovernmental organizations in Bulgaria to use Internet communication technology to engage effectively in public policy development and advocacy. To this end, the BlueLink Foundation will maintain an Internet portal through which Bulgarian nongovernmental organizations communicate, network, share, and engage in joint activities; provide training and technical assistance to nongovernmental organizations in networking, advocacy, and effective use of electronic communication tools; and develop specific tools for online communication, campaigning, and advocacy. In 2008-2009, the grantee provided cutting-edge, practical, and effective information and communication services to its clients; developed its independent media products; and participated in national and international partnerships and joint projects. The BlueLink Foundation was established in 1999 and supports Bulgarian nonprofit organizations to use the Internet and electronic communication as strategic tools for achieving their missions.
