This repayable grant increase will provide support to the Foundation for the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation to expand the Riverfront Residence Hall project, increasing the number of available beds from 243 to 541 for the 2010 academic year. The 16-story building, originally constructed as the Hyatt Regency Hotel, has been converted into a state-of-the-art residence hall for local universities. The grantee will provide the grant funds to its supported organization, the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation, which intends to utilize the funds to invest in the project.
