This grant will provide partial support to Flint Institute of Music's 2012 Music in the Parks concert series. The concert series will include four free concerts held at sites throughout Genesee County between June and August. The Flint Symphony Orchestra will perform at two concerts, including the downtown Flint concert, which will be held in conjunction with the annual Back to the Bricks car event. The overall goal of Music in the Parks is to enrich the lives of people in Flint and Genesee County by offering residents an opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of live musical performances in different locations throughout the community.
