Global Finance for Climate Sustainability

Institute for Policy Studies

The Institute for Policy Studies works in collaboration with nongovernmental organizations, academics, and other stakeholders to promote financing for sustainable energy and to develop alternative proposals for the future of the global economy based on environmental sustainability, democracy, and economic fairness. This grant increase will support training materials and workshops for policy advocates on public and private finance mechanisms for climate mitigation and energy. Support will enable the grantee to consolidate the curriculum from an initial pilot course and develop new materials tailored to the issues that will be debated at the Rio+20 meetings that will be held in Brazil in June 2012.
