While Kendre Chapman jokes that she loves doing nothing, that’s rarely an option for the self-described sports mom, who also is an administrative assistant for the Mott Foundation’s Environment team. Mother of two sons, one a recent graduate of Grand Valley State University and the other a high-school football player, she’s attended every track meet, basketball and football game her sons have competed in. Married for 16 years, she and her husband, an accountant, love to travel anywhere there’s white sand and blue water. She’s also mother to Biggie and Smalls, her two beloved shih tzu puppies. Before coming to Mott, Chapman worked in the health-care field, most recently as an administrative assistant/senior secretary for the Genesee Health System. Born and raised in Flint, she attended Michigan State University and the University of Michigan-Flint, where she is pursuing a degree in sociology.
