About
Kristin Stayer has dedicated her career to education and community development. As vice president of engagement and educator experiences for Mizzen by Mott, she works to advance the growth and engagement of the Mizzen app’s practitioner community and leads efforts to build brand recognition through conferences, events and creative communications. She loves championing leaders, launching strategic partnerships, and creating inspirational spaces for student learning and staff professional development.
Before joining Mott, Stayer was national manager of curriculum and content development for After-School All-Stars, where she worked with the leadership team to deliver comprehensive afterschool programs that empower and prepare students for 21st century learning and careers. She spent the prior decade directing Park Place Community Center in Anderson, Indiana, partnering with the neighborhood to develop sustainable solutions to community needs in education, health and food access. She has managed the Best Out-Of-School-Time Breakfast Club blog and now serves as a BOOST Ambassador. Stayer also is an entrepreneur who started a specialty design and events company, creating convenings for corporate clients.
Stayer holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Anderson University, a master’s in urban studies from Eastern University and a creative placemaking certificate from the New Hampshire Institute of Art. She and her husband are foster and adoptive parents to five children. As a family, they enjoy traveling, playing outdoors and going to baseball games.
