Laura R. Bechard

Currently the investment operations manager for the Foundation, Laura Bechard joined Mott in 1991 as an assistant investment administrator. As her responsibilities with the Investment office increased, her position evolved, giving her the opportunity to advance. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and management information systems from Oakland University, returning to Oakland to earn a Master of Business Administration in 1997. When she’s not in the office, sitting in front of a computer and thinking about numbers and data, Bechard enjoys the outdoors, gardening, camping, biking, hiking and reading. She also likes to hone her culinary skills and in 2016 earned a Certificate in Bakery and Pastry Arts at Oakland Community College. “It’s the opposite of what I do at work all day,” she says.
