Mary A. Gailbreath
Vice President — Administration and Secretary / Treasurer
Mary Gailbreath is the Mott Foundation’s vice president of Administration, chief financial officer and secretary/treasurer. She oversees the Accounting, Facilities, Grants Administration, Human Resources and Information Technology teams. Gailbreath also is a member of the Foundation’s senior management group.
Gailbreath joined the Mott Foundation in 2002 after serving as a manager at Arthur Andersen LLP in Ann Arbor (Metro Detroit region). In 2010, Gailbreath became the director of Grants Administration and assistant secretary and assistant treasurer. Five years later, she was promoted to chief financial officer and vice president of the Foundation’s Administrative Group.
Gailbreath has become well-known throughout the philanthropic community for her expertise in compliance issues associated with international grantmaking. Currently, Gailbreath is a member of the Regional Leadership Council and Board of Directors of the Flint & Genesee Group and the Foundation Financial Officers Group.
Gailbreath holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Michigan University and is a certified public accountant. She also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
