Senior Content Acquisition Lead
Michael Morley is an experienced educational publishing executive who has worked in the field of product innovation, content development and instructional design for more than 15 years. Morley joined the Foundation in 2019 to lead the procurement of content for Mizzen by Mott — an online app that delivers high-quality learning content to afterschool professionals at no cost, through support from the Mott Foundation.
Prior to joining Mott, Morley served as chief product officer and vice president — editorial director for several U.S.-based education firms, with lead responsibility for developing publishing plans that meet the unique needs of pre-K and K-12 educators. Morley also served as a curriculum consultant and English language arts advisor in Beijing, China, where he developed curricula for major education companies serving children ages 0 to 10 years.
A former classroom teacher, Morley received a master’s degree in Education, with a concentration in Elementary Education, from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
