Sarah Mellon

Sarah Mellon manages resource innovation for Mizzen by Mott. In this role, she identifies, vets and curates high-quality resources for the afterschool field and helps grow the next generation of partnerships that will bring dynamic and relevant content to the Mizzen user community.

Prior to working at the Foundation, Mellon’s career focused on building strong networks to connect postsecondary students with programs and services that support their success. Her work centered on creating connected, engaging learning environments and informing sound policies to serve student veterans and their families. She also worked closely with colleagues to provide resources for students with children, first-generation students and adult learners.

A lifelong Michigan resident, Mellon completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Siena Heights University. She then went on to complete a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Michigan State University.
