About this grant
This grant provides continued support for the Aspen Institute’s Nonprofit Data Project. Over the past two years, Mott funds supported convenings of leading figures in the field of nonprofit research and data and work with government agencies to improve the quality, timeliness, accessibility, and efficiency of the nation’s nonprofit data collection system. The Nonprofit Data Project will include continued research and exploration on how the federal government and the social sector can work together to improve nonprofit data, as well as convenings of leading researchers and outreach and dialogue with policymakers, academics, and nonprofit and foundation leaders on developing creative and broad-based solutions to the lack of high quality, current nonprofit data. The Aspen Institute is a leading domestic think tank with an international network of partners that fosters values-based leadership and provides a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues.
