About this grant
The goal of BoardnetUSA is to foster an open, democratic way for nonprofit boards to fill their diverse leadership needs across boundaries of race, skills and geography. The project is a national network of local board placement programs and organizations interested in placing employees or members on nonprofit boards.Multiyear funding will enable BoardnetUSA to focus on placements for 300,000 mid-size nonprofit organizations, connecting racial minorities, young people and women to board service opportunities. To achieve this goal, activities will include creating major partnerships with external organizations; implementing a comprehensive marketing and communication plan; conducting national board connecting leadership meetings; and continuing to develop and enhance the BoardnetUSA Web site.
