About this grant
This grant supports the National Council of Nonprofits to strengthen the national network of state nonprofit associations, and by doing so develop its capacity to support community-based organizations throughout the country. The organization serves over 20,000 members in 41 states and the District of Columbia, linking local organizations (especially small and midsized nonprofits) to a national audience through state associations. The grantee will continue to provide technical assistance, share best practices and other relevant information, and offer networking opportunities to state and regional associations. This should, in turn, increase its members’ effectiveness and accountability, as well as its capacity to represent its members at the public policy level.
