About this grant
The Environmental Support Center was established in 1990 to help local, state and regional organizations working to create sustainable communities, improve quality of life and protect the environment. The center provides organizational development assistance, fundraising advice, technical support and financial help to organizations throughout the United States.Multiyear funding will enable the center to continue providing organizational and technical assistance to environmental organizations; implement a refined financial assistance program to help groups diversify their funding base; begin creating a new strategic plan; and continue collaborating with the Institute for Conservation Leadership on a leadership and organizational development program focused on the southeastern United States. In addition, funding will support efforts to communicate with environmental leaders about the benefits of the capacity-building programs that the center and its partners provide.
