About this grant
This grant supports the work of the Economic Policy Institute that examines the conditions of the low-wage labor market and advocates solutions that help boost earnings for low-wage workers. Researchers, as well as communications and outreach staff, will work to raise national awareness of the issues facing low-wage workers by conducting rigorous economic analyses on income, wage, and employment trends; publishing and disseminating these analyses; enabling state and local organizations to use compiled data through the Internet; and providing technical assistance to emerging state and local organizations interested in economic analysis. Based in Washington, DC, the Economic Policy Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank that seeks to broaden the public debate about strategies to achieve a prosperous and fair economy.
